Godaddy commercial banned from airing on Super Bowl

Michael Jackson's doctor, Conrad Murray, will plead not guilty Monday morning when he is arraigned on involuntary manslaughter charges ... sources tell TMZ. We're told the plan is for Dr. Murray to arrive at the courthouse 20 - 30 minutes before the arraignment -- which sources tell us will be at 1:30 PM PT. He will surrender voluntarily. Law enforcement sources say 20 L.A. County Sheriff's deputies will be at the courthouse, some of whom will be evident and some who will not. The Sheriff's Department has had its security plan in place for a while, in part because of crowd control concerns and partly because of security issues surrounding Dr. Murray.
There is a concern about Dr. Murray's safety because of intense feeling on the part of some Michael Jackson fans that Dr. Murray killed the singer. Read More >>>

"American Idol" producers are eager to hire Howard Stern to replace Simon Cowell as the show's tough-talking judge, sources tell New Yorks Post Page Six. An insider said that producers of the hit Fox show say Stern, America's highest-paid radio personality, is their top choice to take over from Cowell, who leaves at the end of this season. They approached the King of All Media after he repeatedly mentioned on-air that his exclusive Sirius XM Radio deal expires next January and he was open to other offers. Cowell was paid $50 million a year. A source connected to "Idol" said, "It's one of the few shows that could compete with Stern's $100 million-a-year Sirius contract, and 'Idol' bosses think he'd be even nastier than Simon. Lady Gaga Before she was famous!

Lady GaGa was born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta in Yonkers, New York in 1986. Before she was famous, Germanotta performed at Ultraviolet Live, New York University's annual talent show. The first song she performed was "Captivated," the second, "Electric Kiss." Germanotta placed third in the competition behind Funky Butter and the winning act, Tom Costello and Stephan Magloire. The footage is owned by NYU's Inter-Residence Hall Council and was posted to YouTube with their permission.

Whoever invented Elizabeth Mitchell should get a medal, because they did a good, good thing. Eonline just caught up with the adorable Ms. Mitchell for a quick debrief on Juliet's demise on the season premiere of Lost, and they learned why that agonizing death scene is not the last we'll see of the good Dr. Burke after all. Read on for the interview, where Elizabeth confirms the fan theories about what Juliet knew at the end and why, plus how she and Josh Holloway fell for each other as friends offscreen while their characters were in love onscreen, and whom she thinks Sawyer should be with in the end... 'We Are The World': Behind the Scenes

More than 75 stars -- from the legendary Barbra Streisand to rapper Lil Wayne and actor Vince Vaughn -- gathered at Hollywood's Henson Recording Studios yesterday (Feb. 1) to record the 25th anniversary version of "We Are The World." Like its predecessor, "We Are The World - 25 For Haiti" features a diverse lineup: this time ranging from Streisand and Celine Dion to actor Jeff Bridges. But it also boasts a major hip-hop contingent (Kanye West, Lil Wayne, LL Cool J, Akon, Kid Cudi, Drake), young newcomers (Jonas Brothers, Justin Bieber) and major-league high technology. "This is like running through hell with gasoline underwear," said Quincy Jones with a laugh late last night during a five-minute recording break. The video for "We Are the World - 25 For Haiti" will world premiere in 3D during NBC's coverage of the Opening Ceremony of the Vancouver Winter Olympics on Friday, Feb. 12. Academy Award-winning writer/director Paul Haggis ("Crash," "Million Dollar Baby") directed the video, an online version will feature green screen, allowing viewers to place themselves in the We Are the World lineup as well. Apparently Youtube launched a Pandora-esque service last week dubbed the Music Discovery Project with very little fanfare. Near as we can tell, it functions the same way as services like Last.fm and Pandora and operates based on some crazy mathematic algorithm we can't wrap our tiny minds around. Jill Scott sued by record label for undelivered albums

R&B superstar Jill Scott was sued this morning by her longtime record label, which is accusing the multi-platinum songstress of skipping out halfway through a six-album contract and potentially owing millions of dollars in damages. The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court by L.A.-based Hidden Beach Records, claims that the label and its founder, Steve McKeever, helped launch Scott's career and nurtured her into a Grammy-winning singer-songwriter but was unceremoniously dumped in October after a 10-plus year relationship. "Hidden Beach is shocked by her decision not only because Scott has apparently chosen to leave the Hidden Beach family," the complaint reads, "but also because Scott is contractually required to deliver three more albums to Hidden Beach." Remember that whole Mel Gibson's DUI arrest/anti-Semitic rant thing? Yeah, we do, too. But that's all in the past, people. Still, the actor-director, who's out promoting his new film Edge of Darkness, appears to retain strong feelings about the situation. So much so that he called a reporter an "asshole" on TV for bringing it up. When interviewed on WGN in Chicago, the actor bristled when asked about events of the past (though Gibson did, um, ask reporter Dean Richards to elucidate which parts of his past might be referring to). Things got tense—which could have allowed Mel to quip, "You think this is tense, check out Edge of Darkness!" Instead, they finished up the interview, after which Gibson loudly swigged his coffee and muttered his withering put-down.
